Russell County is located in the southwestern part 
of Virginia with an estimated population of 28,445. 
The county comprises an area of 477 miles. Russell County is home to the 4th highest peak in Virginia, Beartown Mountain, which is located in eastern part 
of the county. The county seat is Lebanon, Virginia. Russell County Public Schools is comprised of twelve (12) schools and a Career and Technical Center. Student Enrollment as of November 2016 was 3,752 students.
