Copper Creek Elementary School Improvement Plan 2011-2012

 

Technology Lab / Remediation

 

Technology Goal: 

To develop and incorporate technology across the curriculum in every classroom

 

Strategies / Objectives:

1.      Teachers will implement interactive SmartBoard activities.

2.      Teachers will correlate with technology lab teacher skills weekly.

3.      Technology teacher will receive weekly lesson plans.

4.      All students will receive keyboarding instruction during technology lab.

 

Remediation Goal: 

To develop and incorporate small group remediation into instruction

 

Strategies / Objectives:

1.      Title One services are utilized two times weekly for half hour sessions.

2.      PALs remediation is utilized two times weekly for half hour sessions.

3.      Classroom teachers will conduct small group reading sessions daily.

 

 

Higher Thinking Skills

 

Goal: 

To develop higher thinking skills across the curriculum.

 

Strategies / Objectives:

1.      Kindergarten classrooms will implement daily writing and grammar practices daily.

2.      Writing portfolios with writing samples will be kept throughout the year.

3.      Integrated class projects will be used for science and social science.
