Principal's Message
Belfast-Elk Garden Elementary is a familiar landmark in Russell County and long steeped in the traditions of educational excellence and outstanding achievements making our students among the finest in the county. The students are given the full spectrum of educational experiences and opportunities, in a strong diversified curriculum with a talented, experienced and caring staff. The school’s mission is to prepare our students to function successfully in our world by becoming disciplined, informed, productive, and fulfilled citizens. Through a wide variety of experiences and cultural opportunities, with the sound foundations of basic skills in reading, math, writing, science, history, and the arts, our students welcome and respond to competitive challenges. The school operates with the premise of continual recognition for the students, constant reinforcement, and nurturing in a small class setting.
