Nevaeh Hess was nominated by Mrs. Erica Bostic and selected as the recipient of the Berea College Hurst Scholar award. This award also includes a scholarship of $8,000 guaranteed and renews each year as part of her $200,000 no tuition commitment at Berea College.

We were truly honored to have Tammy Gweedo McGee come and share Connor’s story with our students in the hope of saving lives, and impacting new teen drivers in raising awareness of destructive driving decisions..in Connor’s Honor.

Fellowship of Christian Students at Elevation Church

Another awesome performance for this remarkable group of students. The band performed at Passage Middle School in Newport News for the Busch Gardens Showcase Music Festival. Results: Rating: SUPERIOR Placement: 1st Place Class A Band Congratulations to the Honaker High School Concert Band! Three of our students were awarded "Best of the Day" for their individual standout performance on their specific instrument: Best Clarinet: Makenzie Dingus Best Alto-Saxophone: Charlie Shelton Best Tuba: Bentley Mitchell Congratulations to these three students on being recognized for their talents by a strict panel of nationally recognized judges. We truly could not be more proud of our students.

Honaker Marching Band at Jamestown and Williamsburg, VA. They will be performing at the Showcase Music Festival in Williamsburg, VA on Saturday, April 18th at 8:30 AM.
