The Russell County Sheriff's Office School Resource Officer Division is very excited about being back in school. As a reminder to everyone, Russell County Public Schools will be back in session for the upcoming 2023/2024 school year starting August 15, 2023.
The Sheriff's Office would like to remind and encourage everyone to be very mindful and respectful of school zones. Be very mindful and safe pertaining to school buses and their stops. The Sheriff's Office would like to remind parents to be very cautious of posting their children to social media outlets concerning back to school or first day of school photos. As people know we live in a day and age where predators utilize social media outlets as tools in assisting them with identifying targets. With this in mind, try to help us keep your children safe by not posting to much personal information about the children.
