Parker Bandy

Honaker 48, Northwood 7

Honaker junior quarterback Peyton Musick was almost perfect on Friday.

His team’s record still is.

Musick completed 19-of-20 passes for 334 yards and six touchdowns as Honaker improved to 9-0 with a no-doubt win over the Northwood Panthers.

The Tigers scored 18 seconds into the game in setting the tone.

Musick hooked up with Parker Bandy (six catches, 135 yards) on two scoring strikes, Aidan Lowe (two catches, 64 yards) on two more. Tyler Stephens and Isaac Johnson snagged the other two aerial TDs.

The Tigers led 41-0 at halftime and coupled with Rural Retreat’s loss at Holston, took over sole possession of first place in the Hogoheegee. The Tigers can clinch the title with a win over Rural Retreat next week.

Nick Ball added a touchdown run, while Brayden Mabe recovered a fumble.

Northwood’s lone touchdown came from Brody Waddle in the third quarter.
