Miller to be inducted into local NFF shrine

Former Honaker High School, University of Virginia and Pittsburgh Steelers standout Heath Miller will be inducted into the Mountain Empire Chapter of the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame during induction ceremonies on April 13 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Johnson City, Tennessee.

The ceremony will coincide with the annual banquet to recognize 12 elite scholar-athletes from its members across the region, including Jimmy Phipps from Tennessee High and Josh Seto from West Ridge.

Miller will be part of the 2024 Hall of Fame Class that will also include Cecil Puckett – Dobyns-Bennett (1945) (represented by his family); Billy Taylor – Morristown West (1983), Coach Robbie Norris – Sullivan North High School (John Robert Bell Award); and Garry Roberts – Football Game Official (James Cradic Award).
