Connor Musick scattered seven hits and Kam Beavers had two hits to lead the Honaker Tigers to a 2-0 Hogoheegee District baseball road win over the Rural Retreat.

Matthew Nunley had one hit for Honaker. Christian Ball pitched the final third of an inning to get the save for Musick.

Rural Retreat had earned a 10-0 win over the Tigers on Monday.

Brody Childress and Jay Snavely had two hits each for Rural Retreat (8-5, 2-2). Caleb Roberts and Noah Bandrimer surrendered just three hits, with Roberts taking the loss.

Jaiden Thompson’s two-run triple in the first inning highlighted a six-run first inning as Honaker recorded a Hogoheegee District win over homestanding Rural Retreat.

Aliyah Hilton and Gracie Shelton each had three hits for Honaker.

Shelton was the winning pitcher as she scattered seven hits and struck out four.

The game played out much differently than Honaker’s 17-16, 10-inning win over the Indians on Monday.

Caroline Cox went 2-for-3 with a run scored and RBI for Rural Retreat.

Boys Soccer

Honaker 6, Patrick Henry 1 

Jaxon Dye scored three goals for a hat trick in a Hogoheegee District victory over the Rebels.

Jaylon Hart scored two goals and John Sykes had one for the Tigers. Thomas Ball and Landon Viers dished out two assists apiece.

Grant Buchanan scored the lone goal for the Rebels.
