Wednesday’s District Cross Country Championships were held in unusually cold, windy conditions. Despite the weather, the runners from Russell County remained undeterred. Lebanon claimed the Southwest District title for boys, Honaker took the Hogoheegee District, and Castlewood earned the team championship in the Cumberland District.
Three runners brought home individual gold medals. Parker King finished first for the Cumberland boys with the Blue Devils. Lebanon’s Jalyn Osborne won the SWD girls title, and Honaker’s Erin Hubbard secured Gold in the Hogo.
