HONAKER, Va. – Parker Lowe was completing passes, Blair Clark was picking off passes and as a result the Honaker Tigers passed their initial playoff test of 2025 with flying colors.
Lowe’s five touchdown tosses and Clark’s two interceptions were among the many highlights for the home team in a 56-19 first-round win over the Northwood Panthers on Friday night at Fuller Field.
Honaker (7-4) extended its winning streak to five games and travels to top-seeded Eastside (11-0) on Friday, Nov. 21 in the VHSL Region 1D semifinals.
The Tigers iced the game by scoring on all four of their third-quarter possessions.
Second-year head coach Aaron Lowe of Honaker felt the chill following the victory when a few members of his team dumped a cooler of water on him to commemorate his first postseason triumph as a gridiron boss.
