A couple of locals in the pros – one an established standout and another trying to earn a roster spot – shared the field on Friday night as the New York Giants earned a 23-6 win over the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Former Honaker High School star Jordan Stout of the Giants punted twice for an average of 69.5 yards with a booming long of 81 yards. Stout is a fifth-year pro and is the NFL’s highest-paid punter after an All-Pro season a year ago.

Rookie linebacker Jaden Keller (Tennessee High) made four tackles for the Jets and played a lot – 40 snaps on defense and 19 on special teams.

An undrafted free agent out of Virginia Tech, Keller is trying to make the opening-week roster of the Jets and played well in the preseason.
