All Russell County K-12 students are eligible to receive the one-time payment of $120. Tryout Dates and Times
--Any 8th-12th grade student interested in playing football practice/tryouts begins Thursday, July 27th 4:00 PM at Fuller Field.
--Anyone interested in playing volleyball grades 8th-12th practice/tryouts will begin Monday, July 31st at 3:00 PM. Meet at A P. Baldwin Gymnasium.
--Anyone interested in playing middle school volleyball grades 7th-8th practice/tryouts will begin Tuesday, August 1st at 9:00 AM. Meet at A P. Baldwin Gymnasium.
--Anyone interested in running cross country practice/tryouts will begin Monday, July 31st at 4:00 PM. Meet at Honaker High School.
--Anyone interested in playing golf practice/tryouts will begin Monday, July 24th at 4:00 PM. Meet at Honaker High School at the Ag. building.
--Varsity Football Cheer Tryouts will be held at A.P. Baldwin Gymnasium on the following dates:
-July 24th-25th Cheer Clinic 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
-July 26th Tryouts 5:30 PM
--You must have a completed VHSL physical on file to participate in tryouts.

Happy 4th of July
The Honaker High School office will reopen on Wednesday, July 5th. ASPIRE 21st Century summer school resumes on Monday, July 10th.


Visit the concession stand at the Pro Bull Riding event in Cleveland, VA July 7th & 8th and support Honaker Football. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. Come out and enjoy the food and events.

Honaker Football reveals new helmet for the 2023 season. The Tigers will be wearing flat black helmets with chrome decals.


Honaker FBLA members in Atlanta, GA. for the 2023 FBLA National Leadership Conference. Pictured at the College Football Hall of Fame, Centennial Olympic Park, and the National Leadership Conference.




Honaker Football went to Virginia Tech's 7 on 7 tournament on Saturday, June 17th. Honaker was one of the only Class 1 teams in the tournament. Playing schools from all over the U.S. the Tigers finished the tournament seeded 17th out of 44 teams. Honaker had wins over Elizabethton (TN), East Rockingham (VA), and Point Pleasant (WV).



2023 FBLA National Leadership Conference | Atlanta, GA
David Jewell, Natalie Campbell, Ashleybelle Johnson, Zane Johnson, and Cassie Adkins will compete at the FBLA National Leadership Conference June 27-30 in Atlanta, GA.


Kamden Beavers and Preston Keen performed at the 97th Annual Virginia FFA State Convention.
