2024 Yearbooks can now be picked up from Mrs. Davis. A limited number of extra books will be sold for $65 on a first-come, first-served basis.
As the DCI season draws to a close at the end of this week and the Madison Scouts are winding up an exceptional summer of competition, it seems fitting to give an update on our Sousaphone player and 2023-2024 Drum Major Aiden Dye.
Stepping into the unknown, walking on faith and driven by a determination to do better, Aiden has left a large footprint in Madison, Wisconsin and a lasting impression with the Madison Scouts.
After more than 20 performances, thousands of miles traveled and weeks away from home, Aiden will wrap up his DCI season in Indianapolis, Indiana this weekend as the Scouts will perform at the DCI World Championship.
As with anything he sets out to do, Aiden continues to approach every challenge with an "All-In" mindset. As such, Aiden was awarded Most Improved by the Madison Scouts leadership this weekend. A very impressive accomplishment, ESPECIALLY for a rookie. Aiden has truly raised the bar in Madison.
Aiden, your community is proud, your family is proud, your school and band family are all proud of you, for your efforts, for being an excellent ambassador, and for chasing your dream! We look forward to having you back. Congratulations!

Meet your SRO. Sgt. Diane White

Volleyball tryouts for Middle School, JV, and Varsity teams will be held on August 5th at Honaker High School. They will begin at 3 p.m. All participants must have a physical on file.
Russell County Schools will provide free meals to all students served under the National
School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. Each school and/or central school nutrition office has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by any interested party.
All schools in the division will be participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) as implemented under the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. Students attending a
participating school will be provided a nutritious meal for breakfast and lunch each day at no charge to the household. Households will not be required to submit a meal application form to receive meals at no charge. Each household will receive a letter informing them of the program, including contact information for any questions.

Attention High School Athletes in Virginia, do not join YOKE, as this information came from the VHSL: As of right now, Virginia does not allow this and has deemed student athletes that participate in this collective ineligible on the grounds that they are no longer an amateur as they are compensated for athletics.
